Client Overview

We were introduced to them by their IT manager who had worked with us at his previous company. At the time, TK weren’t happy with their existing print supplier, so we helped them exit their contract and built a full solution from scratch.

The client problem

TK came to us with a shopping list of machines based on what they’d bought before. Instead of simply quoting against it, we decided to run a full print audit – one of the most thorough we’ve done.

We went department by department, interviewing users and department heads across design, accounts, manufacturing, warehousing, and shipping: who prints what, how they work, do they use A3 or A4, do they need stapling, scanning, and established what their document workflow actually looked like from end to end.

What we did

The audit shaped a fleet matched to how the business actually works, not to what they’d bought last time. For TKC this meant:

  • A high-end production printer for internal brochure runs
  • General office machines for day-to-day documents, invoicing, and quotations
  • Machines for the marketing team, for proofs and visuals
  • Machines in the warehouse for picking, packing, and labelling

Across the site, that was around 17 or 18 machines in total, a mix of floor-standing and desktop multifunction devices.

We also rolled out PaperCut print management software which allowed TKC to track and monitor printing costs by department.

Our current relationship

TKC are now roughly halfway through the current contract, and it’s running well. Being local to Denton means we can provide a fast response whenever an issue comes up, and – aside from the scale of the initial onboarding – they don’t get any hassle day to day.
