Photocopier leasing has been proven to be more cost-effective than buying the machine out right, allowing businesses to spread the cost over a predefined period of time. This also applies to packages for printers, as well as the fax machines, scanners, and multifunctional printers we provide. If you require a printer or photocopier lease then contact us to get a quote today.
What is a photocopier lease?
Photocopier leasing means that you can select the machine/s your business needs, and pay a monthly fee over a set period of time, instead of the initial cost up front to purchase the equipment.
This allows businesses to source and use the equipment they need at a cost spread over the term as stipulated in the lease, this is typically between 1 to 5 years.
So what are the disadvantages?
There's no fundamental disadvantages, but there's key things you should consider. This is because as with anything, you need to make sure it is the right option for you. Leasing a machine means that you will be in an agreed contract and be responsible for the equipment for the time specified in the lease, typically 3 years. If your business requires the equipment for a longer period of time, in some cases it could be cheaper to buy the equipment outright
FAQs
Is it better to buy or lease a copier?
There’s no simple answer to this question, it depends. You need to consider the pros and cons of both options, whilst factors such as the machine/s, agreement time and costs can also determine whether it’s the most cost effective solution for your business.
We understand that no business is the same, so we’ve designed a series of solutions which are tailored towards both SME's and large organisations with sizeable work forces.
For more information about the differences and benefits of both, read our lease or buy a photocopier blog.
I’m already tied into a lease, what shall I do?
If you are already tied into a lease with another supplier, we can still save you money if you make the switch to Copy Print Services.
Typically we are able to take over a lease with the minimum of hassle for you and slash your overheads as a result.
How Much Does Leasing Cost?
The cost will depend on the printer or photocopier you choose to lease. We will discuss your requirements and find the most suitable machine for you. We have photocopier lease deals to suit businesses and budgets of all sizes.
What Happens When Your Lease Ends?
Once the leasing period is over the equipment is usually returned back to us, however here at Copy Print Services we can upgrade this equipment and agree another lease, or we give you the option to purchase the equipment at a discounted price.
Will I Be Taxed For Leasing A Printer Or Photocopier?
We mentioned this in one of the benefits of renting a photocopier or printer. The leasing payments are deductible for your taxable profits as a business expense.
Does The Lease Include Insurance?
Unfortunately not, but we can provide it. Most businesses use a third party insurance company to cover accidental damage. As part of our managed print services (MPS) we offer general wear and tear cover for your printers and photocopiers.
Any maintenance or consumables such as toners or paper will be a separate cost but we can certainly work with you to create the package you require. In fact, most of our customers that take out a lease with us also have managed print services with us, letting us manage all of their printing needs.
